Ex-Norwich students The Great Shakes play new festival

Great Shakes are shaking it up at Jimmy's festival

Playing alongside the likes of KT Tunstall, Jose Gonzalez and Seth Lakeman, Great Shakes are hitting Harvest at Jimmy’s festival this summer on 13th of September. The festival is set to be a great weekend of food and music with some fantastic acts set to play.

The band studied at Access to Music on the Artist Development course and have had radio play from the likes of Radio One’s Huw Stephens amongst others. Last year they released two singles It Won’t Stop on NR1 Records and Great Shakes E.P. on Lap Records.

For now, Great Shakes will be writing and recording, with another release not far down the line. Check out their myspace or catch them at Harvest at Jimmy’s.

Chart action.......

So this week Access To Music Norwich old boy (he's not actually that old) Josh Weller has reached number 11 in the UK Indies Singles chart with his single "Push". The video features Mr Weller "doing" a Busby Berkeley style dance routine with some clones (it must be CGI !).
It's about time he came back and played Norwich.....as we miss him and his sartorial flair.
